If wishes were horses...

I wish for:
(In no particular order)
1. The removal of that fear… the one that’s got me worrying about letting Max and Drew walk together to IGA to buy snacks. I want to go back to believing I live in a safe neighbourhood.
2. A new fridge, one with the freezer on the bottom. Or at least a full-sized one that doesn’t have broken door shelves.
3. Confidence to enter the two upcoming writing contests.
4. Willpower to stop over-eating. Or facial stapling to keep my mouth from opening.
5. A part time job that does not involve squatting or uniforms.
6. A “girlie” granddaughter who’ll love all the cute collector’s plates I have taking up space in my hall closet.
7. A successful season for the Canuck’s. ie Stanley Cup. With Bertuzzi in the line up.
8. The immediate removal of this new-to-me emotion: jealousy.
9. A stove. One that has 4 working elements.
10. Peace regarding my future.
11. Unconditional love for each of my daughters-in-law.
12. A world-wide awakening and appreciation of fat bottomed women. (Plus that there would be a universal agreement that flabby stomachs look sexy.)
13. Opportunities to serve God that don’t scare me.
14. No more cavities.
15. Soft feet.
16. That each of my boys would grow in his own personal relationship with Jesus.
17. A motivating guitar instructor for Max.
18. A dust-free living environment where brooms are not required.
19. A sense of direction for Clint.
20. A hot tub.
21. The ability to find joy in all circumstances.
22. Courage.
23. That divorce would not be a part of my family and my friend’s lives.

I should be able to come up with one more… two dozen wishes seems like a good place end this blog. 23 wishes seems like I lost interest and just stopped typing.

Come on… one more…

“Drew, if you had one wish, what would it be?”
“Why?”
“Just answer, if you could wish for anything, what would it be?”
“That I would get a billion more wishes…”
“OK. And if that wish was granted, what would your first of a billion wishes be?”
“Why? What are you doing?”
“Doesn’t matter. What would your wish be?”
“Like a birthday wish?”
“OK. Like a birthday wish. Or whatever.”
“I wish that we could have one of those cute little puppies like our neighbour has."

Twenty three wishes is fine.

"Or some new kittens like Markie..."

Nothing wrong with 23 wishes.

Take care.
