I'm back

I knew this would happen.
No time to blog.

And, doesn't it just figure - now that I've decided to turn a blind eye to the laundry reproducing in the upper hall, the dishes crusting over in the sink and the dirt tracked in by 5 teenage boys - blogger's picture-adding feature is not functioning.

And I had some good ones. I was generously given a 15 minute window of opportunity to photograph my 3 boys for my annual Christmas card picture. Two out of three of them were in good moods. Zero out of three of them was having a good hair day. All three of them wanted me to "hurry UP"...
I snapped off 24 pictures in 6 minutes. (The other 9 minutes were spent with them bickering about who was touching who.)
Got them developed tonight. (The pictures. Not the kids. It'll be years before they get developed.)
And -
Two out of three of them are pleased with the results.
"Can you get this one enlarged?"
All three of them want to do it again. Tomorrow. Or this weekend.

I'm thinking we might just stick with what we've got. Not so sure it's a good idea to allow them to prepare.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Waterproof mascara
2. Christmas lights
3. Heated bathroom floors

The essence of genius is in knowing what to overlook.
