Wouldn't you? Wooden shoe

Posted by Hello
It feels like I'm wearing church clothes every day of the week.
Because I am, I guess.
This is probably what all grown ups do. Get up. Shower. (Gross. Who was the guy who invented morning showers? He shoulda been shot.) Get dressed in professional clothing. (How come I can wear jeans on Friday but not on Tuesday? I think I write better when I'm physically comfortable...) Remain in those clothes for at least 8 hours.
I've done the schleppy housewife gig for so many years, I'm having anxiety attacks about my wardrobe. I bought 5 outfits two days before my job started. I hate those clothes already. The entire time I'm at work. I'm looking at the clock, counting down the hours til I can take them off. Every bit of them, but mostly the shoes. And tights. And especially the trowser socks.
And then there are days like today when my after work/ after school hours are so booked, I can't get around to changing til 8 pm. That's like 12 solid hours in itchy, tight, suck-in-your gut, stand-up-straight tops and pants.

Maturing is such a painful process.

Could I have written a whinier post?

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. jeans
2. white socks
3. sharp pencils

Take care
