On Saturday night, while sitting in the hotel lobby with my mom, sister, brother in law, brother, sister in law, son, niece and nephew playing internet trivia, a function was taking place in the banquet hall beside us. It involved loud music.
I so very badly wanted to join in and dance. So very badly.
On the back of my scattegories score sheet, I started writing a list.
"You're writing down song titles, aren't you?"
"Uh huh. If I ever organize a dance, I want a play list all ready."
Have I mentioned I am genetically wired to create lists? It's in my DNA.
Today's Top Ten List:
Songs That I Hope to Dance To Sometime Before My Hips Wear Out and Need Replacing - (In no particular order)
- Sugar Sugar (Ah, Honey Honey...)
- Mony Mony (Like a Pony)
- Rasputin
- You Spin Me Right Round (Baby Right Round)
- Sweet Home Alabama
- Footloose
- December (Spit Me Out)
- Our Lips Are Sealed
- Heart of Glass
- Walking on Sunshine
- I'm a Believer (Shrek Theme Song)
I bought myself a page-a-day "New Word a Day" calendar. 75% off.
Today's word is whinge. It's a verb. It means: to complain fretfully. Whine.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Music
2. Disco Balls
3. Non-Mennonite Weddings
Shalom,
