Half dozen of one, six of the other.

In the end, we had two mini vans in our convoy; the boy van and the chick mobile. Rick, Dane, Matt, Tim, Max and Drew were in the boy van. The chick mobile transported Sandra, Maxine, Megan, Tia, Emma and me.

Rick was the driver of the lead vehicle.
He doubted the wisdom of BCAA's travel advisors often, and prefered not to follow the maps that Maxine and I had prepared for our adventure.
We allowed him to be the man, and followed him through hail, rain, wind, snow and, in the end, we would not have been surprised to have been pelted with and driven through a plague of frogs or locusts.

When we finally arrived, frazzled and frozen, it was with a sense of complete acceptance that I discovered my make-up bag did not make the trip with us. I have no tweezers, curling iron, anti-wrinkle cream, mascara, face soap, hair accessories, deodorant or dental floss.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. The way Maxine prayed; in the driveway before we left, as we passed a horrific accident site, as we encountered yet another snow storm...listening to her pray made my eyes water every time.
2. The way we have laughed to the point of crying every few hours. We are just plain having too much fun.
3. The way my dad, Mark, and Kevin looked after my truck after Clint called me with the news that "there's a nail in the front tire and something is burning. Help."

Shalom,
