Contests

There was a contest held recently for Langley residents to submit Langley photos. Ultimately the images were to be used in an upcoming edition of the Recreation Guide. But there was a cash incentive as well.
Did I enter?
Oh no I did not.

Then there was a "Blogging Mommy" call out to all mothers who blog. A particular website was looking for women who would be interested in blogging about their lives, especially if they fell into one of these categories:
-Single parenting
-Parenting of teens
-Christian parenting

Ten bloggers would be offered contracts, with the pay being $500 (US Dollars) per month.

Did I enter?
No. No I did not.

My mom sent over a stack of "Martha Stewart's Living" magazines this weekend. Tucked inside was a page ripped out of another publication with a post-it note attached, "Jane. I think you should enter this contest..."

So tonight I took 6 photos of the "room" I'd like to add $5,000 worth of cosmetic improvements to:



Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Drew will be home tomorrow at 2:30 pm. Good gravey I've missed that grumpy little face. His class is on an outdoor adventure experience and he's been gone since Monday morning.
2. Pruning boys will be by tomorrow to give the trees and shrubs haircuts. I'm looking forward to not cringing everytime I look in the backyard.
3. My request for summer flex hours was approved. Yay. Three days on. Four days off. I love my job. I love my new desk.
