Detox

I worked today.
Then had 16 people over for dinner.
Inbetween work and dinner I cleaned like a carzy woman. (Not a typo. It's a new word. I made it up. Means the same as crazy.)
Anyway - Cleaning might be an overstatment. It's more like I simply relocated the mess. From the living room to the garage. From the dining room to the pantry. From the front entrance to my bedroom.
From the yard to the shed.

Exhasuted was I by the time everyone arrived. (Again, that looks like a typo. It's not. It's a creative way of spelling "really tired".)

Anyway, 1 of my guests is on a post-pregnancy diet. She ate before she came. And two of my guests were on detoxification diets.
(You'd think I'd have alot of leftovers, wouldn't you? Nope. The other guests were mostly young male carnivores.)

Anyway, this weekend, after posting my deep thoughts on my insecurities regarding my body, I had a few embarassing encounters...
"What happened! You're fat."
"You're what...about 60 pounds overweight?"
Its amazing to me how bold people are.

Anyway - (are you counting? This is the third "anyway" in a row...) I think I'll try the detox thingy.
It starts off kinda rough. 48 hours of fasting. Water only.
The kids are going to stay with their dad on Wed and Thurs, so maybe I'll start then. I'm predicting I'll be very grouchy. Unbelievably difficult to live with. Impossible to love.
After 48 hours of water, I get to eat fruit and vegetables for 72 hours.

Looking ahead I'm anticipating a screaming chocolate-withdrawal-headache to incapacitate me by 4 pm on Friday. Don't drop by.

Oh, and I'm supposed to sweat for 20 minutes a day too. Then take a cool shower.

All of this is to rid my body of toxins and unwanted chemicals. It's not about losing weight. It's about getting healthy.

Consider yourself warned.
The posts at the end of the week could be negative. Or rated 14A. Or non-existent.
I've purchased the box set of the first season of LOST. My plan to take my mind off food is to sit and be entertained for 34 hours. Either that, or take alot of naps.
I wish I was looking forward to the weekend.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Great evening with friends from work.
2. Three rooms in my house are very clean.
3. I'm going to be in bed before midnight.

Shalom,
