It's Over

I ended my 48 hour fast with jasmine rice and sauted vegetables.
It was gross and very unsatisfying.

If anyone knows any flavourful recipes involving rice and veggies please e-mail them to me.

The kids (Clint and Max decided not to go to their dad's place where I'm sure he would have served them some meat...) turned their noses up at my colourful concoxtion (concuaction? concockshun?) and went to Subway instead.

I've got enough leftovers to last me til Sunday. Goody.

She (the gal at work who is two weeks ahead of me playing this detox game) assured me that all desire for chocolate, sugar, wheat products and diary totally disappears once your body has rid itself of all traces of it.

It's taking every ounce of will power I have to keep me from routing through the garbage to pull out the just deposited crusty brownie edges scraped off the brownie pan.

A meal is not done, nay, the day is not over until some sort of sugary food substance passes over my tongue.

If I could just get control of my mind. That's where the problems start. Listening to my thoughts.

I found one of the kids' old MP3 Player. It has my favorite songs on it.
I've been filling my head with music all evening.

It's not that I'm ignoring you. I just can't hear you.
The volume is on high.

it is with great pride that i post my first comment on your blog, partly to commend you on your endurance and dietary strength (i myself HATE jasmine rice and anything vegetably), and partly to announce my entry into the blogspot community. may your God-given cravings for sugar and fats melt into the abyss.
