I drove like a mad woman for an hour and a half through wind and rain to get to GM Place in time for my favorite part of live hockey; the singing of the anthem.
First they play that U2 song as the players come out on the ice.
Then we stand and sing.
THAT is worth the price of admission.
The two quick goals at the top of the first inning were a bonus.
We should have left then.
But, oh no. Drew and I sat through all four quarters.
And overtime.
I had been looking forward to a night out with my youngest; it had been a rocky week for the two of us. But it didn't turn out as I had hoped. The Canuck's lost and Drew was not happy to spend time with me.
Double dirty dog.
Tonight the Canuck's decided to start their golf season.
And Drew left to spend the Easter weekend with his dad at SunPeaks.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. It's Easter. He died for me.
2. While my youngest in entering puberty, my oldest is exiting. We both made it out alive.
3. That I have a closet full of craft supplies.
Shalom,
May your hearts be filled with joy as you reflect on the hope that His resurrection brings. Happy Easter...
