It has remained tidy for 3 days in a row.
Truly a record for these parts.
So Sandra, in response to your observation that you've never seen the upstairs of my home...here's a peak at the only clean space up there.
Yes, I moved my wingback chair out of the kitchen and back up to my bedroom where it belongs. I predict that by the weekend it will be buried under a pile of clothes that have been worn yet are not dirty enough to wash.
The next book in my basket. Should get started on that one in a day or two.
This is the condition of the family room.
"What? It's perfect. This is our home too, and we like having a mattress in here. Great for wrestling on. Comfortable for watching TV on. We live here too you know..."
I'm thinking the empty nest syndrome will not hit me hard.
Two afternoons - 4 hours - 1/2 a tank of gas - repeated trips to the bank and ICBC and YES. He brought his big purchase home:
This is the first time he has ever washed a vehicle.
He came in with a shopping list for me; new hose, spray nozzle, better rags and more Turtle Wax cleaner.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Colour
2. Scent
3. A son who says, "Don't buy a new dishwasher yet. Let me try replacing the seal first." Now that he's familiar with the use of a garden hose he thinks he's a handiman...
Shalom,
