Mini Road Trip:

In my never-ending quest to hang onto summer til the very last minute, I'm taking the official last day of summer off from work and heading south.
There will be 13 of us heading to the Puyallup Fair near Seattle to watch, worship with, sing along and dance to the music of:

Hyperstatic Union

The David Crowder Band, and

Third Day.

My original plan had been to stay in a Puyallup Hotel for night and then take my time meandering home along the 1-5, stopping to shop, do touristy things and take alot of photos.

Because I am so adaptable to change, I've let go of those plans and am embracing the idea of driving back to BC after the concerts so that some of my travelling companions can go to work and school on Friday. They will sleep on the drive home. I, being the driver, will not.

These are outdoor concerts and the weather forecast for the Puyallup area is calling for clouds and a chance of showers. Golashes and an umbrella will be my fashion accesories for the evening and I will need to come to terms about the flat hair I will be sporting.

Regardless, I am so looking forward to this little adventure.

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. The friends who are joining me on this impromtu road trip. Concerts are way more funner with friends to bounce around with.

2. I ripped (oh yeah, I know the lingo) my favorite songs onto my computer at work. Soon I'll be wearing my slippers there.

3. I'm taking Friday off. Last day of Summer 06. Ok, Ok, I'll probably be bleary-eyed and cranky through most of the day, seeing I'll be driving til 3 am, but still. A bad day at home is better than a good day at work?

Shalom,
