My Grandpa and Granny

I remember them looking like this: You know, grandparent-like...

I even remember farther back, when they looked like this ^

BUT,
Holey cow...
I had no idea they looked like this:

Oh my goodness.
They weren't always old.
She looks playful. Coy. Sweet and sexy.
He's kinda relaxed and studly-looking.
I had no idea.
I've never seen these photos before.
Let this be a lesson unto you..
If you want to have an inkling about those who came before you, attend family gatherings now and then.
Not only did I get two awesome CD's filled with incredible photos from the 1930's and beyond... I've received some cool e-mails from my second (third?) cousins who've taken a peak at this blog.
Three (times two) things I'm thankful for:
1. A very (too?) lazy weekend. (Shouldn't I have done something? Some project or something?)
2. I went to Clint's new church's Sat eve service to check things out. He's in a good place. With good people. A great opportunity for him. Maybe I can stop feeling so unsettled about it all now.
3. The leaves. The air. THE MOON. (Is it huge and full at your place too?)
4. My grandparents. Seeing their photos brought back a slug of memories, all good.
5. The boys just got home. (2:45 am) They were at Youth Church tonight then over at a friends' house to play Nintendo. (We were at our church this morning as well. Clint noted that he has spent an enormous amount of time in churches this week, "and I still can't walk on water...")
6. The boys just got home. Starving. Thank goodness I have so many leftovers in the house. They're all sitting here beside me at the table eating full meals.

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 107:1
Shalom,
