Fun

Today after work, I rushed through pick ups at both schools so that I could be at the W's by 3:30pm to take pics of their family.

You know, for Christmas and whatnot...

I brought Drew along. As my assistant.

I had him sit in all the spots we'd be photographing. For a lighting check.

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

But I took 211 photos in 21 minutes.

I'd say I got about a dozen good ones.

Took some individual ones as well...

LOVE days like this.
Fun.
We'd been praying for no rain today between 3:30 and 4:00 for a whole week.
Guess what? No rain. And even better...sunshine!
At 4:05 the clouds started to roll back in. God loves me.
Hours later (after going to Surrey to return my dad's truck to him and saying sorry that it has an owie... the running board got broked this weekend. My bad.) and picking up my truck ("Uhhh, yeah... about that noise. It's not unsafe to drive. After 1,000 miles or so it could get better. Or worse. Hard to say...) I was on my way home when Max called. "Uh, mom? Can three guys come over for supper?" I got home with 2 bags of groceries at 6:30. We ate at 6:45. I took Drew to his youth at 6:50. Then came home and started on the dishes and downloading the photos. On my way back to pick Drew up, I stopped in to pick up a DVD.
"Did you rent another movie"? Drew asks as we pull into the driveway 20 minutes later.
"Yup."
"Wha's it called?"
"Whatever It Takes."
"Chich flick?"
"Nah. More like a teenage drama."
"Whaaaa?"
"I got this thing for Shane West these days...."
"What are you? Five years old? This is embarassing."
I just finished watching it. No fear that I'll be viewing it again... save your money, folks.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. With other things going on in his life, dad did not freak out at all about his toy truck having a limping running board. Three years ago he would have had a cow.
2. Supper tasted like crap and no one made me feel bad about it.
3. Those last stubborn leaves on trees looked regal with the sun shining through them this afternoon. It's November and I'm still finding beauty out there.
Shalom,
