That's how good my weekend was.
Frigging awesome.
I got home a few hours ago.
One of the toilets in my house had no water in it.
When I pressed 6 on my telephone, nothing happened.
So I flushed, plunged, got wet from the sloshing and still am not convinced we should use it.
I think I'm ready to go away again...
Weekend memories:
I went for a few walks and tried out my new camera.
Sort of wish it had been brighter out. Hard to take good photos in a dark environment.
And we spent alot of time in the lobby like it was our own personal family room.
And we spent alot of time in the lobby like it was our own personal family room.
Sometime since our last visit, they completely remodelled the upper lobby, which was a lovely surprise.
In addition to having 2 laptops going (wireless internet in the lobby),
we had 3 Nintendo DS's being played constantly and
and collectively, we read alot of books. I think all of us, except my brother and dad, had one on the go.

My dad wore a t-shirt, a long sleeved shirt, a knit sweater and his puffy jacket the entire time we were there. He was (and is) always cold. I wore a tank top, track pants and bare feet as often as I could get away with it.
Clint spent more time in the pools and saunas than Max and Drew combined.

Drew constantly snuggled up to my dad. He wanted money for the games room. Money for the pop machine. Money for chocolate bars.
My dad is a sucker for snuggles.
Desperate for a non-chocolate snack option, I bought a box of Captain Crunch. Drew and I shared it.
Breakfast this morning; "these past 48 hours were more relaxing than the 10 days I had off at Christmas," Clint said.

Last picture opp before the drive home.
...and I'm holding a purse. I never carry a purse.
I did finish Book # 32:
I did finish Book # 32:
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. I resisted the temptation to buy a piece (or whole) Black Forest Cake from the Echo Chocolate Boutique as is tradition. It's been recorded that I have done this every year for 23 years. I also resisited the temptation to buy fresh chocolate fudge from the chocolatier in the village, as I have done annually for at least 10 years. Instead I bought a roll of Love Hearts which tasted like crap. No, I am not losing weight because I haven't given up snacking. I'm simply replacing chocolate as my first-choice snacking option with other stupid foods.
2. The party I was at tonight was a wonderful low key affair, just 10 women visiting. Had a great conversation with the mom of one of Max's friends ... she invited me to a thing next Monday, "because I really want to have coffee with you". I don't think I've ever had so many compliments dumped on me in one evening as I did tonight. I'm thankful for new friends. Also thankful that I said no to the Purdy's chocolates that were being shared this evening. However, I did have a piece of birthday cake. For social reasons. I had already turned down the wine, it seemed rude to turn down the cake too. And the cake wasn't chocolate cake, per se - but there were chocolate elements to it...quite possibly it was the best cake I have ever, and I mean EVER had melt on my tongue. Oh my goodness. Sweet bliss.
3. I'm thankful for my kids. I love spending time with them. They truly are my favoritist people in the world.
Shalom,
