Last weekend ...

...my dad was in and out of the hospital and a heaviness had settled on my shoulders that would not lift. The concerts in Seattle with Audio A and Mercy Me filled me with joy as I took my eyes off the things on earth and focused them on God. I had bought those tickets back in December, not having any idea how timely the concert would be.

This weekend ...

... was even harder than last weekend. Someone I love spent Friday night in the hospital and I was overcome with fear. I prayed for hours while a big ol dark cloud parked itself over my head.

After a last minute "Hey are you doing anything on Saturday night?" conversation; Sandra bought us both tickets to see Brian Doerksen tonight.

Please, please, please - if you ever get a chance to hear him live - go. Oh my goodness, what an incredible evening. Absolutley the BEST worship experience I have ever been apart of.

He had his band of 6 musicians as well as a 10 piece string orchestra. The sound was magnificent. Full. Glorious. Heavenly.

Plus he had an assortment of surprise musical guests; including the Ambassador's - his father's quartet. Unbelievable.

My socks were blessed off. God was there, in that place. And it was Holy.

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. Hospitals

2. Musicians

3. Clint (and Max) for fixing the broken bookshelf.

Shalom,
