Monday, Monday

How did I ever get to be so lucky?
This is paradise.
Early this afternoon, Brian and Maxine took their girls shopping, while Rick took the boys to a baseball game, leaving Sandra and I alone at the house.
Do you know what that meant?
Exactly. I could suntan without having to worry about covering up everytime a male walked by. Complete freedom to wear my bathing suit in and out of the pool without a t-shirt and towel draped over my shoulders and hips. Oh, it was heavenly.

It's still hot here, but not blistering like the first day. I love it. My scalp is burned as is my nose. Both kinda throb. But that's a small price to pay.

The boys came back around 3 pm, having decided, in the end, that shopping was a better way to spend their money than tickets to a ball game.
Drew walked past me reading in the sun, and looked me straight in the eyes. "Hey, you aren't wearing any make up. Good for you, mom."

The boys have been playing some poker down here. Turns out that my Max is quite the player; he's won two big games. So proud of him.

We all went to an outlet mall this evening. It was the highlight of this holiday so far for my boys. They love shopping. Alot.
I got into the spirit of it too - bought a dress and shoes for the weddings I'll be going to this spring. As well as 6 tops and 2 additional pairs of summer work shoes. I'm done now til the fall. We got home at 10:00 pm starving for Maxine's dinner. We ate outside, under the stars and twinkle lights, on a candle lit table in our t-shirts and shorts. I love this place. My entire being finds it agreeable to be in this climate, living in these conditions.
Gotta find me a rich uhmericahn...

Have I mentioned the misting system they've got set up here? It's a beautiful thing. Makes tanning SO easy.

Finished reading book # 35 this afternoon.
A Christian one.
It was typical, predictable and too preachy for my liking. Hate it when writers use dialog between two characters to sermonize.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Ice cubes
2. Warm evenings
3. Creamy peanut butter
Shalom,

Wow. I'm glad I wasn't thinking of you when I was weeding my flower beds in the rain yesterday. That would have been enough to make a sunlovin' girl weep.

(aside from the moments of rabid jealousy which mostly only come on when I'm looking at your pictures) I'm really glad you're having a good time!
