NOT because we slept in due to the time change/Daily Savings thingy.
NOT because I used our colds as an excuse.
NOT because I had nothing to wear. Which actually is close to the truth.
NOT because the kids whined about wanting to sleep in. They did. And I ignored them.
But because my truck's battery was dead due to someone leaving the interior lights on when they took all their 'overnighter at Nan's" bedding out.
And the jumper cables I bought a few years ago have gone missing.
And the drain in my backyard is not working, causing great quantities of water to pool on the patio. Which has nothing to do with the church thing, but ties in neatly with the whinyness of this post.
