Another weekend almost over ...

Friday after work, I zoomed around like a person who zooms around alot.
And then I had a melt down because my kids didn't feel the same sense of urgency that I did. Or maybe they don't understand english when its delivered by a frantic women who was this close to ripping the 10,000 blonde hairs out of her pounding head.

We made it to the cabin 5 minutes AFTER the first carload of youth did.

Why am I always rushing?
And late?
Don't answer that.

Twas a good retreat.
The kids swam, jumped, doodled, gamed, slept, ate, photographed, sang, talked, and hung out.
Marj and I prepared hearty meals then cleaned up afterwards.
We got home at 4, then I left at 5:30 to meet some friends in White Rock for dinner. After an absolutely scrumptious meal (pork tenderloin for me), followed by an incredible dessert (chocolate peanut butter pie served on a raspberry coulis), we were asked to leave as our table had been reserved for an 8:00 pm party. So we sat in their downstairs front entrance and visited on their waiting benches for another two hours.
I'm tired.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. There was no rain when we needed there to be no rain.
2. The teens I spent Friday night with.
3. House on DVD.
Shalom,

So last night I watched the first episode of The Office Season 4 on a website a friend sent me. It was so good.
Pam and Jim were perfect but I have this terrible feeling that if it continues, the show will lose a major storyline, so something must break them up, so that every woman in North America can go back to pining for their reunion, as if them being together would somehow make the hopes and dreams WE have for our romantic selves suddenly be that much closer to actually happening. You know, because if love can work for Jim and Pam, then it must be able to work for me.

Ok.
So, um, long live The Office.
Have a good week Jane.
