When's the next flight to Mexico?

We're home.
I don't want to be here.

I should have asked someone to drop off a loaf of bread and a jug of milk ... because when we got home at 12:15, Drew was starving.

So, I decided I'd go to the only place that's open at this hour (McDonald's drive through) and buy a bunch of milk cartons. That's when I started looking for the Durango keys. (I, personally haven't driven my truck in months. For various reasons, Clint has been it's principle operator since mid November. I asked him to leave the keys somewhere obvious when he went to Africa ... but I've taken the house apart, and I fear he has taken them to Africa.)

I have keys to his truck, but it's parked tight up against the house, with the Durango right on it's tail. (Not to mention his truck is not able to make a left hand turn.)

So, while Drew is whining about his immediate problem of being famished, I am more worried about how I'm going to get the kids to school in a few hours. Or how I'm going to get to work.

I've been using my dad's truck for 2 months, but it was taken in for repairs last week, and isn't ready to be driven yet. SO MANY THINGS WRONG with that vehicle too.

Plus, my laptop, which wasn't able to hook up to the wireless internet at Wayne and Rozann's place is acting weird here too. No internet. And my desktop PC? No e-mail. And my house? Don't even get me started.

I've been home less than an hour and I'm all tense and crabby.

Thank goodness it's only two days til the weekend.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Max, Drew and I all got home safely. It was SOOOO good to see them.
2. It's not raining or snowing.
3. That was an awesome holiday.

Shalom,

Booooo. Homecomings are so rude. I don't understand why our houses and appliances can't just be glad to see us, and cheerfully order themselves to our liking. Damn reality.
