He's Done.

Max walking into the auditorium: Getting his tassle moved:

Shaking a few hands:

Not stopping for his mom:

Pretending that the woman with the camera is no relative of his:
Chucking those caps into the air:

And this is it. The only 'grad shot' he'd let me take. No gown. No cap. No happy smiling family members beside him:

His Fundy friends:

And that's it.
It's over.
I wish things had been different. I wish there had been some measure of joy in this evening. I wish ... well, there's no point.
It was what it was.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. A mom who talked to me for 2 hours on the phone tonight. Thanks for loving me, encouraging me and praying for me.
2. God. He, too, loves me and listens to me.
3. It's the first day of summer. That's got to be a good thing.
Shalom,
