Sometimes When I Need to be Humbled ...

I go to a free public lecture at Regent with Carolyn. We talk about our kids for the whole 90 minute drive into the depths of Vancouver.
When we get there, we sit in the front row, listen intently, and take pages of meticulous notes.
Then talk non-stop about how over-our-heads some of the language and content is as we drive home. After dissecting the lecture into tiny bite sized pieces, we realize that MAYbe, just maybe, we did get something out of it. Something did sink in. Some things will be mulled over in the days to come. Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Lazy, wasted days off.
2. Evenings that prompt me to think.
3. Peaches.

Shalom,
