North to Alaska. We go north, the rush is on...

(How old are you? Can you hear that song in your head now? If you can't, why are you reading this old lady's blog?)

I had the most glorious day.
It was Monday and I don't work on Mondays in the summer. And so d'ya know what exciting thing I did today?
I stayed home.
And got out of bed when I was finished sleeping. Then I cleaned the kitchen and planned dinner. (PLANNED dinner - hours before it was supper time! No rushing into IGA at 4:30 looking for inspiration and ingredients. )
And I did some laundry. And errands. And tidying. And it was relaxing. And I wondered if this is what it'd feel like to not have to work. Would I get bored if I married a guy who was able to support the two of us?

Hahahhaha. What a rich fantasy life I have. First - the getting married part. Secondly - to a guy who'd be financially secure. Thirdly - that he'd be OK with having a wife who didn't contribute financially.

Anyways, where was I? Oh, yeah. Going North to Alaska...
I spent the evening looking over shore excursions for our upcoming Alaska cruise. Anybody have some recommendations? We have three stops; Skagway, Ketchikan and Juneau. With dad's weak heart and mom's broken ankle, I think it'll just be Mandi, Max, Drew and I leaving the ship. I'm not sure what the rest of dad and mom's friends will be up to.

I'm starting to really look forward to the cruise. The best part? I have zero expectations. No preconceived notions. No checklist of things that need to be accomplished on this trip. I'm just going. And taking my camera.

Gotta go.
