Ten Most Beautiful

Dogged determination.
I'm reading a book that has taken at least a dozen starts. I want to love this book but it's hard, you know?

At about the half-way mark, there was this interesting(?) list; it's Mr.Funk's (a dictionary publisher) list of the 10 most beautiful words:

mist
hush
luminous
dawn
chimes
lullaby
melody
tranquil
golden
murmuring

Of course I had to make my own list. Keep in mind that I've done this quickly, which is against my nature. Clearly this is the sort of list I could easily obsess about.

Being raised in Sunday School, I know that the right answers are God and Jesus. And the other 8 words would be church words like: forgiveness, unity, love, grace, mercy, peace, hope and joy.

And maybe, a person's most beautiful words change, depending on their stage in life. For example, if you're a teenager, your most beautiful words might be; independence, driver's-license, boy/girlfriend, party, weekend, kiss, adventure and so on.

A young mom might choose; toilet-trained, hugs, sleep, family, giggles, cuddle, and so on.

I'm obsessing, aren't I? I've made this a Big Deal rather than simply a list of Jane's Most Beautiful Words. OK. Here is my list, based on where I'm at in life:

sunshine
sparkle
laughter
soft
hope
grace
caress
gentle
dream
love

Pretty mushy list it turned out to be.
What are your 10 most beautiful words?
