Three Thinggsss

I am thankful for the following:

1.Thirty five degrees is more do-able that forty one. I was able to sit outside and read a book this afernoon. Yay. More summer weather is anticipated next week. Yay.

2. Drew is cleaning his room. Spontaneously. With no encouragement or prompting from me. Of course, now my room is a mess. Everything that was cluttering up his space is now on my bed, on my dresser and on my floor for me to deal with.

3. I was kinda dreading this evening because it'll have been the first time in 11 years that I haven't gone to the fireworks with the kids. But it was OK. I took my dad and mom out to the White Spot for dinner, then we went grocery shopping. Then while Drew cleaned his room, I watched You, Me and Dupree on TV. Not as colourful as the Symphony of Fire but that season of my life may be over. I had a good run - time to let that go?

I'm hoping that no news is good news... I haven't heard from Clint since last Tuesday when he said he was being quarantined for 3 days. I don't know if he's stopped throwing up, or if his fever has come down, or if the meds he's been taking for the sinus infection are working. Praying that he is on the mend and that he'll get in touch with me in the next 24 hours. I don't know how parents of missionaries in the olden days handled the 'not knowing'... yeesh. This faith stuff is kinda sucky at times.
