Today's Question: 6. What is the most helpful new way you could strengthen your church?

Well.
This question makes some assumptions, doesn't it?
Like, that I "have" a church.
Second, that it needs strengthening.
Third, that I am already doing something, and that I need to think of a NEW something.

Clearly I am not in a position to answer this question.

However, if we look at it from another point of view, say, the one that believes "the church" is a conglomeration of all the Christians on the planet, regardless of denomination, well, then, maybe I do have something to say.

What new thing could I do to strengthen THAT church?

Uh, what does it mean to strengthen a church? Make it stronger in numbers? Get more people to join? Or strengthen it so that individual members are stronger? Stronger meaning, "have a deep unwavering faith"or "strong so that they can resist temptation?"

Oy.
Am I overthinking this question or what?

OK. I'm even boring myself now.

How 'bout this?
How about I pray about this and ask God what He wants me to do this year? And if He thinks I can do something to strengthen His church, He should just send me an opportunity and then give me the courage and wisdom to jump at the chance.

That's the best I can do with that question.

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. Dinner celebrations with my family.
2. Costco Tank Tops
3. Books

Shalom,
