Because I'm used to it, and because (I tell myself, "It's only been 10 days") I'm still recuperating, I have spent the evening plunkered down on the couch in front of the TV with my laptop warming my lap.
Oh. My. Goodness.
Has television always been this boring?
I HAVE to get a life.
Even the commercials are uninspired.
Drew is leaving for an extended Spring Break vacation on Wednesday morning. How extended? SEVENTEEN freakin days.
Am I even still a mom?
I feel like another one of my identities is slipping away.
Hmmmm. *drums fingers on countertop* What new identity can I be?
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. The Paralympics will be starting soon. Maybe they bring with them as much unexpected fun as the Winter Games did?
2. I will not have to prepare any meals for almost three weeks. I can live off of crackers, Captain Crunch, and cookies.
3. I live in Canada, not Haiti or Chile.
Shalom,

On Tuesdays I get home at noon and Joel gets home ten hours later, which means that I am having a bag of cheese-filled pretzels for lunch, and then some cookies for second-lunch, and then a bowl of popcorn? chips? cereal? for dinner. Meals are overrated.
