Pray-Along. Part the 16th.

(If you're just joining me now, I'm in the midst of a day-long intentional time of prayer. Please join me. I'm praying for my kids, and all those kids that God has laid on my heart to love.) (I`m also praying for us. You know, us Pix N Prose readers...mature folk with good taste.)

Dear God,
I pray that we would be given the gift of joy. Let the spirit rise up in our hearts this day and may we know the fullness of joy that is found only in Your presence. Help us to understand that true happiness and joy are found only in You.

Whenever we are overtaken by negative emotions, surround us with Your love. Teach us to say, "This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118: 24) Deliver us from despair, depression, loneliness, discouragement, anger, and rejection. May these negative attitudes have no place in our lives, nor be a lasting part of our lives.
May we decide in our hearts, "My soul shall be joyful in the Lord, it shall rejoice in His salvation." (Psalm 35:9)
I know, Lord, that any negative emotions we feel are lies, contrary to the truth of Your word. Plant Your word firmly in our hearts and increase our faith daily. Enable us to abide in Your love and derive strength from the joy of the Lord on this day and forever.

Lord, because You have instructed us in Your word that we are to pray for one another so that we may be healed, I pray for healing and wholeness for us all. I pray that sickness and infirmity will have no place or power in our lives. I pray for protection against any disease coming into our bodies.Wherever there is disease or illness in our bodies, I pray that You, Lord, would touch us with Your healing power and restore us to total health.

I pray for my kids, Lord, that they would feel loved and accepted. Penetrate their hearts with love right now and help them to fully understand how far-reaching and complete it is. Your word says You loved us so much that You sent Your son to die for us (John 3:16). Deliver them from any lies of the enemy that may have been planted in their minds to cause them to doubt that.

Jesus said, "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in my love." (John 15: 9-10) Lord, help Clint, Max and Drew to abide in Your love. May they say, as David did, "Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You I trust." (Paslm 143:8)

Manifest Your love to these boys in a real way today and help them to receive it.

I pray also that You would help me love these children of mine unconditionally the way You do, and enable me to show it in a manner they can perceive. Reveal to me how I can demonstrate and model Your love for them so that it will be clearly understood.

I pray that all my family members will love and accept each other ... and I pray that they will find favor with other people as well. With each day that they grow in confidence of being loved and accepted, release in them the capacity to easily communicate love to others.

Enable then to reach out in love in a way that is appropriate. As they come to fully understand the depth of Your love for them, and receives it into their souls, make them vessels through which Your love flows to others.

In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen
