Hour One Done

I am reading:  The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton

Where? 
On my comfy chair in the living room in front of the fireplace with my feet up on the ottoman and a hot pad warming my lower back.


Eating: Nothing. 


Noises: The dryer has my bedding in it. The fireplace is flaming. Drew is watching TV - 1000 ways to die. Yes, it is distracting.


Total Number of Pages Read: 38. I only read for 30 minutes because I had to go pick up Drew from his friend's house at 11:00 pm exactly when I planned on starting.


Favorite line from the book this hour: Cassandra always hid when she read, though she never quite knew why. It was as if she couldn't shake the guilty suspicion that she was being lazy, that surrendering herself so completely to something so enjoyable must surely be wrong.
