The point of history is to learn from it, no?

And there's nothing like flawed biblical characters to gain knowledge from, yes?

So this week, I've been reading about Ruth and Abigail. 

Unfortunately, now I have crushes on Boaz and King David which I'm pretty sure that wasn't the reason these authors wrote these books. 

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. Girlfriends who are new to the emptying nest stage too. So many fun times this week... Bard on the Beach, Classic Movies at the Theatre (Casablanca), tea talks, long walks, DVD nights. So thankful we're in this together.

2. Opportunities to have a few meals with some of my kids... White Spot in Vancouver with Clint, my dad and my mom.  Sushi with Drew. Spaghetti Factory with Drew, Clint and Mandi. So thankful for restaurants. 

3. Electric heating pads.
