Tea and Talk

It was book club night tonight.
One of my most favorist nights of the month.
Tonight's book was The Fogotten Garden.
(Which was set in Australia and CORNWALL, England.) Jus sayin'. (I WAS THERE.)

So Karm, who was hosting, served freshly baked (by her husband) scones (plain, blueberry and cheese) on her fine china in her dining room. It was so civilized. So English. So wonderful.

After we had caught up (we haven't seen each other all summer) we talked about the book. And that of course is a springboard to talking about relationships, families, history, parenting ... you know... the good stuff.
Ahhhhh.
It's so good to be in the company of women.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. The excitement of first time grandmas. It's so contagious.
2. The new guy at work.
3. Phone calls from sons while they're grocery shopping.

Shalom,

I just had to laugh at your sons calling you while grocery shopping. Me too - I have a son who calls me from the grocery store to discuss the item he's looking for.

Your reading group sounds great. I would enjoy that too.
