Oh, Mr. Darcy

It's BC Day.
By the time I got my bathing suit on and book picked out, (after cleaning the kitchen and doing a few loads of laundry) it was raining.
So I sat on my patio, under the glass roof, and enjoyed the breeze, the warmth, and the sound of rain above me.

My book?
Yeah.
Pemberley, in case you forgot, or didn't know, is Mr. Darcy's estate in Pride and Prejudice.
I only finished two chapters when I realized I really, really needed to see him.
Mr. Darcy, that is.

So after dinner, (with all 3 boys and Dani) (YES, it has been a good day) I stopped in at my mom's place with the 6 hour BBC version of Pride and Prejudice on DVD.

We watched the first disk, which ends with Mr. Darcy's first marriage proposal.

I left her place at 10:30 pm, not totally satisfied, (her and I will watch the second disk later this week) so once I got home, I watched the 2005 Keira Knightley version. Matt is no Colin, but, seriously, that walk through the mist with that long coat and white puffy shirt at the end?

Made me smile.
And sigh.

I should be able to read a few more chapters now.

Three FIVE things I'm thankful for:

1. It rained. Lawn got watered.
2. Listening to my kids talk about oatmeal. Two of them have added it to their diet.
3. The Old Spaghetti Factory. SO many decades of dinner memories.
4. Still a few weeks of summer left.
5. Answered prayer.

Shalom,
