And as a result of that talk, we wandered over to those used book stores the following day:
It was exactly as he described.
We are definitely going back.

Oh! I loved the book talk! Reading is wonderful and I'm always so, so sad when I hear people say they don't like it.
Here's some of my most favorite books:
1. The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin
2. The Relationship Cure by John Gottman (although, I love all his books)
3. Resilient Ministry by I can't remember who
4. A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser
5. Anything by Brene Brown
6. Attachments by Drs Clinton & Sibcy
7. 1000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp - the writing was shit but it got me gratitude journaling and that has changed my life and taught me a language I just never knew. I'm sorry for saying the writing was shit. What I should say is that I'm used to reading self help, which leans towards the clinical, so her flowery writng made me effing insane because, SAY WHAT YOU CAME TO SAY ALREADY, you know?
I'm currently reading Dallas Willards book on spiritual disciplines and its really hard but also awesome.
Books! I love them! And didn't you think he was just sexy?? I mean, he has two adult cats, has a top ten favorite books list...man! I like him!
