Thankful

While I would've loved to have spent the day sitting on my lawnchair on the beach, overlooking the ocean, reading a book and feeling the ocean breeze - it didn't work out that way today.

So this was my view.

I found a private spot in my mom's front yard, where I could enjoy the sun and no one would be able to see me.

From the sidewalk, this is all you can see:

Hahaha.

The thing a person will do to face south on sunny days.

I am thankful for:

1. Sunny days
2. Sunny Sundays
3. Pizza delivery.
4. Books.
5. Sunscreen that smells like a vacation.
6. A sister who is totally unlike me except that we both showed up for lunch wearing the exact same sweater, then put on the exact same pink reading glasses.
7. A mom who loves me.
8. The internet.
9. Flip flops.
10. Bathing suits.
11. The color green.
12. Birds with pretty songs. (in other words, not crows)
13. The music that crickets make.

15. Stories of changed lives
