Labour Day Weekend 2018

Last sunset of August, from Safeway's parking lot, on Friday night:

Labor Day weekend, and I was grabbing some groceries.
Sadly, what I forgot to grab before I left home, was my laptop power cord. So I was without my favorite toy all weekend.

Which meant I needed to find other ways to keep myself occupied.

So my days were spent suntanning, my evenings catching Pokemon (at the other end of the lake) and my nights were spent watching Broadchurch. A solid weekend.

(Errhhm, actually, Pokemon catching and journalling. At the same time. I be a multi-tasker.

I never uttered a word out loud all weekend. My voice was not used. 72 hours of throat rest. Haha.

I also spent those days getting used to my haircut.

When I got home, my mom had samples of granny's paintings for me:

(Mountains, trees and lakes. They were her thing.)

This painting (below) is on glass. Like the glass from a photo frame.
She added depth by painting the shading on the back side of the glass...

And then it was Tuesday.

That summer feeling ended abruptly.

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. Seasons
2. Freedom
3. Forgiveness
