Three things I'm thankful for: Posted by Hello

1. The kids have next week off. No school. Yay. It's only November and already I'm tired of the 'morning hassle'. Trying to get three boys off to school is a positively awful way to start a day. They are mad when I wake them up. They are angry and ignore me when I ask them to wash their faces or brush their teeth. And they refuse to eat any sort of regular breakfast food. Oh. Right. This is supposed to be a list of things I'm thankful for. I'm thankful I get a break from ugly mornings.

2. I'm thankful I received two weeks notice before my job starts. It gives me time to organize a whole buncha stuff I've delayed. Like, reviewing my RRSP portfolio, getting the lawnmower fixed, applying for passports, finishing up my fundraising duties, preparing the gardens for winter, cleaning out closets, the fridge, the garage, the shed, the greenhouse, the kid's rooms, ... I'm going to arrive at Arrow on the 15th exhausted. But I'm glad I had the opportunity to put my house in order.

3. I'm thankful this crappy mood I'm in can't last much longer. 48 hours at the most. I wonder if Sinutab could work as a substitute for Midol on such a night as this? Why do I never have the right drugs on hand?

Take care,
