A turning point, again. Today. We permanently removed his floating bath toys out of my tub. No more GI Joe raft, Taiga Speed Boat or Batman action figures. He's going to have showers from now on. And, on top of that, he asked to have the hall light turned off... and (sob) he unplugged his night light.  Posted by Hello

Okay, you guys are bummin' me out...our tub is filled with toys (so much so that you sprain an ankle if you try to climb in before clearing them OUT)...and I complain about the mess, but how about a little PERSPECTIVE that the toys WILL be replaced with makeup and hairdryers and aftershave and there won't be anyone wanting to play the "1-2-3-KISSY" game before bed and Spiderman will find himself in his new permanent home at the bottom of a toybox that will be shoved into an attic or crawlspace...all of this melancholy and Kendon JUST turned 4 months old. BUT -- Yaunna is turning that corner with her 11th birthday mere days away; her first gift for this birthday was a bag full of makeup -- light colors for fun use only -- but her interest has shifted from playing dress-up with old costume wear to playing dress-up with eye shadow, lip gloss, and mascara.......speak of the devil, the little bugger just scared the CRAP out of me by sneaking up behind me and not making even a breathing sound. NEED TO KICK START THE HEART -- NOW LECTURING ABOUT WHY WE DON'T SNEAK UP ON PEOPLE -- okay, so she still needs me. Her foot hurts. Gotta run...and Jane, please keep entertaining the troops. :)
