Three things I exploded about tonight:
1. The bedding left in the family room from Saturday night's last minute sleep-over.
2. The socks all over the house.
3. The screens that have been removed from the windows but not replaced.
For good measure, I tossed in my displeasure at cups and dishes left everywhere.
I got indignation, sarcasm and defensive arguments in return.
Tonight I'm tired of being a mom.
Good night,

I hear you!! Maybe for different reasons, but still tired! Smile the sun is shining.
Some days it just ain't worth it. But then when you least expect it, they blow you away with something nice. It's coming. :)
Man, I'm so glad I'm not the only one in that boat. You know, the one that always feels as though it's about to tip OVER. My 16-year-old had his first experience with being stabbed in the back by his best friend over a GIRL; my 12-year-old has decided that she doesn't have to do ANYthing around the house, but she has the right to mope and stomp around when she doesn't get her way; and then there are my little darling boys...they're still perfect, well, sort of...Brennie is. Kendon, well, we're still wondering when the rest of his horns are going to pop through that spiny skull of his. DEMON.
Thanks for the insight. And I am sitting here thinking that all of my problems will be solved if I can JUST get a dishwasher....
