In the introduction, he writes, "This book was written less that one year after my wife left and filed for divorce, which means I have not had the luxury of years of perspective."
It's pretty raw.
And defensive.
I thought he was playing the victim role throughout most of the book.
Read it in one evening (200 easy pages).
Glad I didn't write a book during my first year on my own.
Bad enough that I've got shoe boxes full of journals that I don't know what to do with regarding that time period. Really. Who wants to read that shite?
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Made some headway in getting Max's educational options sorted out. Glad that's he's happy with his classes and teachers. Thrilled that he was talkative after school today.
2. The family room sparkles it's so clean. Thankful that the boys gave me a hand.
3. My cousin's surgery went well, she is doing awesome. In fact, she was doing SO good that less than 24 hours post op, she hosted a bon voyage party for her Africa-bound son. Amazing.
Shalom,
