Saturday.

This is it. I've tried for an hour each night (Sun, Mon and tonight) to add my favorite images of the retreat at Cultus to this blog. I have been unsuccessful, and so I officially Give Up.

Not a single shot of Max.
He was there.
Hiking.
Eating.
Hanging.
and playing Monopoly.

There will be more photos to add to this post, as soon as "Beta Blogger" allows me...
So far, I haven't noticed that beta blogger is any faster than regular blogger...

My day began at 7:45 am (That's two non-sleep-in Saturdays in a row for those who are counting along at home...) when I started to prepare a pancake breakfast for our youth group. I did not sit down again til 7:30 pm when they all left.

A fantastic day...
Drew and friends catching minnows.
They also did alot of hiking.
And playing in the creek.

Clint was exhausted when the day was done. He was the coordinator of the day and was feeling the responsibility...

Him and Tessa, tubing.

The day started with everyone arriving at 9:00 am for breakfast.
After 20 minutes of "free time" where they all threw rocks in the lake, they hiked to the top of Tea Pot mountain.
Back for lunch then 2 hours of freetime. Some went boating. (Special thanks to Jon for bringing his boat, and letting the kids enjoy their last rides of the season.) A few played a highly competitive game of Monopoly. Others jammed with their guitars. A few bounced on the tramp, swung in the hammock, while others walked to Turtle Rock.
At 4:00 pm, we set them loose in Lindell Beach on a photo scavenger hunt.
At 6:00 we had dinner and by 7:10 they were on their way back to the church office.
By 7:45 pm Clint, Max and Zac were all fast asleep.
Three things I'm thankful for:

1. Perfect weather.
2. No injuries.
3. Tis a brand new month... this one should progress at a slightly more relaxed rate.

Shalom,
