Earlier this fall, there was a reunion for my mom's side of the family celebrating 80 years in Canada.
I went and took my kids with me.
Clint video taped the more formal speeches as well as some random casual crowd shots. Along with all the still photos I took, he put together a DVD of the event and is selling it for $20.
I sent an e-mail out this afternoon to all the Neumann's I have addresses for letting them know of its availablity.
Aunt Kay (well, great Aunt Kay to me) (she was one of my grandpa's sisters) was prominently featured on the DVD as she gave a talk reminising about life in Russia and the trip to Canada. She is the last living sibling born in Russia; all the other remaining sibs were Canadian-made...
She must be in her late 80's.
She just e-mailed me. E-mailed me.
After midnight! Wanting to buy a copy.
And she's not the only Neumann to contact me, after midnight.
My kids and I have inherited it. This business of being nocturnal - it's in the genes.
Cool.
