Back in '83 - after I got engaged, my dad tried to talk me out of having a wedding.

He was OK with me getting married. It was the whole big fat Mennonite wedding thing he was hoping to avoid.

So he offered us $10,000 to elope. And he not-so-subtly leaned a ladder against the side of the house right under the window in the hallway to my bedroom.
To make the get-away easier.

It's still there.
His new house is going to look bare, not having a ladder propped up against it.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Clint just got home from his weekend at Silver Star with the Youth Church. He has a sore throat and toque hair, but he had a great time.
2. We received the contract and definite confirmation that we have a house in Arizona to stay at this spring break.
3. My kids' awesome friends.
Shalom,
