To recap:
On Friday night at 10, my dad found out his blood thinning meds had been working too well. His blood was dangerously thin and he needed to get to the hospital immediately.
By 3:30 Saturday morning, he was back home, after spending hours waiting for a drip of Vitamin K.
His nose started bleeding a few hours later and would not stop. This is to be expected when your blood doesn't coagualate. So they went back to the hospital.
(Around the same time that my dad and mom were making their way to the hospital, 13 of us were heading south to Seattle to see Mercy Me and Audio A. I prayed the whole way there, through both concerts and continued praying til I finally got ahold of my sister.)
After spending hours at the hospital, they shoved a tampon-like thing up my dad's nose and taped the dangling string to his cheek. (Regretably there are no photos available...) Upon his release, they went straight the the Spaghetti Factory for their weekly bottle of Baby Duck.
He found the tampon-like-packing to be uncomfortable so yanked it out.
He's at home now and will be seeing his doctor on Monday morning. Coincidentally, Monday morning is when 2 five ton semi's will be arriving at the farm to load up.
Thanks to all of you who've prayed for my ol' man.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. He's OK.
2. The two guys on my couch watching Star Wars.
3. Gas fireplaces
Shalom,
