We Just Laughed

This is the parking lot for the Grand Canyon on Friday March 23, 2007 This is the view from viewing area. The breathtakingly beautiful Grand Canyon is just on the other side of that fence...

We saw nothing. We looked out into a white abyss.

Nada.

We just laughed. Six hours of driving and this is what we saw:

We left the North Rim and headed towards Utah, stopping along the way:

We did see some pretty cool canyons, just not the Grand one.

And then we drove some more:

The rocks were crazy.

We just got to Ruby's Inn and it's nothing like I remembered. No charades in the lobby on this trip...

Three things I'm thankful for:

1. No snow is forecasted for tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get a great view of Bryce Canyon.

2. Safe travel thus far.

3. My kids.
