The plan was to pack up everything tonight so that we can have an early start in the morning. I was ready in 20 minutes. Sandra and Maxine have been packing all evening; so they're no fun. I guess I travel light.
I never did post pics of our drive down. Thought I'd do that now:
After traveling through the night, we stopped for a healthy breakfast -
We lined up and stared at the menu:
Seriuously? That was the grossest meal I have ever smelt.
Sandra has many contraptions. This particular one is a deep tissue massage unit. Brian tried it out on his aching elbow.
We stopped for gas in small town, America:
Hours later we made it to HWY 93 where, literally, and I am not exagerating, there were thousands of dead bunnies strewn all over the road. It was a barren expanse of land - with no Interstate Hwy benefits, like gas stations or rest areas.

After travelling for hundreds of miles, the Lewis' suburban lost battery power because some sort of belt and router and bolt got messed up. We coasted into a fully loaded garage in the tiniest town you could imagine. There was a mechanic on duty and he had the parts we needed. Hand of God was so on us. The next closest parts place was hundreds of miles away.
This little town had the cutest hospital built into the side of the mountain under a huge protruding rock.

Dane got hot so he changed into cooler clothes.
Beautiful scenery.
Alyssa was all tuckered out and did a face plant into her pillow.
We entered the Las Vegas strip area around dinner time. Sandra and Maxine were tourists and took a buncha pics while leaning out the window.
So did I. This one is of the "Say I Do" Drive Thru Wedding Chapel.
The Vegas style Eiffel Tower.
There is a 5 year construction project underway - so incredibly impressive.
After crossing the dam, we were in Arizona:

Quite the experience.
There was a national security scare, so there were armed guards on either end.

After crossing the dam, we were in Arizona:
I think I could live here.
Love this state. And this city.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. I didn't have to drive down here at all. And if it works out the same way this weekend, I won't have to drive back.
2. Good things happened on this trip.
3. I've got some new shoes.
Shalom,
(Probably won't be posting again til Monday. Have a good weekend.)
