Hey, The weekend. It's like, here!

(My favorite Barnabas pic. Love that courtyard.)

So, anyway, today? Thursday? My favorite day of the week? Guess what happened?

Monica, who was here for lunch 2 Sunday's ago to be at the Mexico Missions Trip meeting, and heard me whine about the condition of my gardens, came over today with a bucket and a pair of gardening gloves and PULLED WEEDS for an hour while her son had an extended guitar lesson.
"Why are you doing this?" I cried out in embarassment.
"What else is there to do? I usually just sit in my truck and read; then fall asleep while I wait. This way I get to be out in the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine."

Say WHUT? She could have been reading or napping? And, instead, she knelt on my pebbly concrete sidewalk and pulled out weeds? Whoa.

After I tried with all my might to make her and her work gloves go away, I changed out of my skirt and heels and joined her for an hour of chat and pull. Feeling very spoiled ...

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. New friends who would rather play in the dirt than read.
2. Clint's job.
3. The priviledge to be able to photograph Mandi and her friends at her grad tomorrow evening.

Shalom,
