I am SO not having the greatest of days

I knew this was going to be a tough summer.
I predicted it in May.

And rather than vomit my bad attitude all over the screen, I might as well call it a night.

Three things:
1. A colleague at work asked me to borrow Clint's truck so that I could pick up her Costco mini deep freeze in Langley and deliver it to her house in Port Moody. I left work at 4:30 pm and got home a few minutes before 8.

2. Last night, after I blogged, I stayed up til 2:30 am saving e-mail addresses. All the Mexico Mission Trip participants have sent me the names and e-mail addresses of 5 people who will pray for them while we're away. I set up an excel spread sheet and entered the info, one address at a time. Then I tried to copy them and make up a gmail "group" - but it didn't work, so I entered each e-mail address individually into the "to" line of an outlook e-mail. HOURS of data entry.

Tonight? It's all gone. No evidence anywhere on my computer that I ever worked on a spread sheet. All those e-mail addy's? Gone. Disappeared.

3. Max is not doing well in his Math 10 course. He's taking it by correspondence and I've hired a tutor to help him three times a week. Max did very poorly on his first unit test, and he writes his second test in the morning. Plus he had two chapters to learn/assignments to complete tonight. I was counting on some extra tutoring time this evening to make sure all the concepts are understood.

The tutor never showed up. He left a message saying he'd see Max tomorrow instead. TOMORROW is too late.

It feels like a too-short and completely wasted evening.

I think I'll take my grumpy-pants-self and go to bed.

G'nite.

Bother.
Doesn't feel right just walking away not ending on a thankful note.
Three things I'm thankful for:
1. I don't live in Port Moody and work in Surrey. I CANNOT imagine doing that commute everyday.
2. ALL the crap that Max and I dragged to the curb last night was picked up today. My garage is marginally emptier. Not cleaner, emptier.
3. The long weekend has begun.

OK.
Now I'm going to bed.

Shalom,
