Number 90 (on my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days) is done.

"Just relax. Scootch your bottom to the edge of the table. Try to relax..."
I was not.
Relaxed.
And when I scootched, I ripped the paper table cloth and dislodged my blue paper gown.
"If you could just relax a little bit..."
I was having none of that.

Really, I must take up drinking.

I'm to go back in a month. Will have some minor surgery on my back ... "I'll just slice the top off the big one. The smaller one I'll dig out. Remind me to test your blood pressure again. You seem a little uptight today - which is probably the reason for the high numbers we're seeing."

Buddy, Uptight is my middle name. You think I was tense today, knowing I was gonna get poked and prodded? Guess how chilled I'll be next time, knowing you're going to slice and dice my back?

Is Halo being played in your house?
Is it being played online?
Is the person playing Halo wearing a headset and talking to other players from around the world?
Do they refer to each other by their 'code' names, like "Sweet Rapture"?
Is there a dorkier pasttime? I think not.
Could I have nerdier sons? Nope.

They are so not like me. Tonight? My downtime?
I 'crafted' with a friend. Then we compared laptops and looked at each other's photos.
Then I checked out blogs.
And now I'm going to hop into bed and watch an episode from Season 3 of House on a portable DVD player.
Totally cool.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. A perfect evening
2. A doctor who can do a complete physical, from eyes to ankles, in 6 minutes.
3. Homemade chicken noodle soup

Shalom,
