We didn't get to the beach as planned.

Instead we went to the Marina.
There were sunny breaks in the sky this morning when I got up, so while the others watched a made-for-TV movie in their pajamas, I grabbed my Bible and journal and soaked up some sun while I read Phillipians.
"Think on things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and worthy of praise."
I thought maybe I should make a list of things that are true, honorable ... etc, so that when I get caught up in a negative though pattern, I could recall my list of excellent things and ponder those for awhile.
I got stuck.
Will give it more thought tomorrow.
If you have any ideas, send them my way.
Anyway, the movie ended 'round noon, so we had lunch by the pool (I had a fresh tomato and avocado wrap ... everyone else had fresh salsa on tortillas.)
It was 2 pm before we got around to thinking of leaving ...
In the end, we went to Paradise Marina to look at how others live:

This one made me laugh. It was parked in the midst of large sailing vessles and multi-leveled yachts.

Reminded me of a hippy vw bus, with it's laundry out to dry and all the kids' stuff on the dock.

Rose's dad and Maxine's father-in-law are both sailors, so they had alot to talk about.

(Actually, finding things to talk about is not an issue here.)

The poor relative...
