Maybe I'll Pick Up My Mail More Often

So, about 100 years ago, when I was new to blogging, I would hit that "next blog" icon at the top to see who else was pouring their heart out over the internet waves. I came across this blog and liked what I saw. Mainly that her observations were DAILY and I love that in a blogger. Daily updates. So I bookmarked her page and checked it faithfully. Last year, or maybe it was the year before, I delurked during National Delurking Week and we've been best friends ever since. 'Cept we've never met. And communicate mostly through our blogs.

She, like me, has more than one.
I read them all.
She has something I don't have though... and that's an Etsy account. She sells handmade jewelry online. And everytime I see this bracelet - I say to myself, "I should buy that. I love the colours." I have only said this to myself. No one else. And I've never even complimented her on her creations. I know, you're thinking, "What kind of best friend is she anyway" And you're right. I'm pathetic.

So, Tricia, I love your jewelry. Especially the bracelets that have blue, turquiose and green in them. They remind me of a tropical ocean beach. And you know which one is my absolute favorite?
THE ONE THAT CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY!
Well, it may have come on a different day, like maybe last week or something. I only grab the mail a couple times a month. It's only bills and I pay all of them on the 15th, so why have all that mail in my house, cluttering up my mind and desk, when it can easily be stored off site in that handy metal box across the street?

Anyway, what a treat. What an awesome surprise. What fun. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

But, guess what?
That's not the only unexpected piece of mail I got today. Oh no it wasn't. Felt like Christmas around here, except I never get gifts in the mail at Christmas so I don't know why I said that.

Another blogger, who delurked herself to me last year, and whom I have never met, also sent me a fun surprise:

Not sure if I should eat it or wear it.
Thanks, September. You rock.

Remember when my new furniture came and I moved this old chair and all my sunflower stuff into the entrance?

And we all decided it was wrong?
Whadda ya think about this?
Better?

The table was my grandma's and it was in rough shape until someone at Billie's loved it up a bit by adding paint and stuff. Could be a good place to drop your keys or place your purse after you come home, no?
So, tonight.
I set myself up in my dining room to work on my photo albums:

I got 1 page done.
And then Maxine dropped in to have a cuppa tea.
And at midnight, Karyn is stopping by so I can help her add links to her blog.
I so love Thursdays.

Three things I'm thankful for:
1. Candles. Scented ones and white ones.
2. A clean kitchen.
3. Long distance friends

Whew. I'm glad you got it (and that you like it.). I thought I was going to have to go harass the post office people for losing your package.
