Have you noticed that when you take away all the twinkle lights you decorated with for Christmas the house seems especially dark and gloomy?
It doesn't help when 9 (NINE!) light bulbs simultaneously burn out.
Or that we've been socked in under a cloud of fog, then rain and now snow since forever.
So I went to Ikea and bought 5 lamps and a whole bunch of 100 watt light bulbs.
My living room? Is now obscenely bright and cheery; the exact opposite of dark and cozy. And the downside of that? Every speck of dust is brilliantly illuminated.
But if I wear sunglasses it's not as obvious.

We have 4 lights that need replacing in the living room. However, because this is Germany, you must have a special instrument to take the fixture off. Yes, you need more than 1 person to unscrew a light bulb here.
